I know what you’re probably thinking. “Me? Not me. I never watch porn.” And to that I say, you’re probably lying.
It’s 2016. Porn is no longer this taboo subject. It’s everywhere. If you have a wifi signal, you can find porn. You no longer need to hide VHS tapes and nude magazines under your bed like it was a tiny dime of weed.
We hear guys talking about porn all the time. They love to talk about porn, watch porn and talk about how much porn they watch. They watch porn like it’s their damn job. But why not women? Why are we not supposed to talk about watching porn?
It’s not like we don’t know women are watching porn. According the Nielsen ratings, one in three people streaming online porn sites are women. Porn sites are even trying to create porn specifically for women. So if porn sites know you watch porn, and the Nielsen ratings know women watch porn, why can’t women just admit that they watch porn?
Porn has come a very long way. It no longer has the stigma of something that is harmful or dangerous to your brain. Several studies have come out saying that porn can be healthy for you and for your sex life. And porn addiction? Proven to not actually be a real thing.
It’s the 21st century. We as women no longer only have men as an option when it comes to fulfilling our sexual needs. We have porn. Why go out and have meaningless sex with some creep from the bar when you can stay in the comfort of your own home and just masturbate to a couple of porn videos? The latter option will probably be much more satisfying for you in the end.
Sure, society continues to try and tell women that they need to push down their sexual needs and wants. A woman who wants sex is not a woman you want to take home to mother, isn’t that what they say? That shouldn’t stop women from embracing their sexual needs, and their love of porn. There are much worse things that women could admit to doing.
Whether you’re single or in a relationship, porn can be a very useful tool in your belt. There is a porn video for basically anything, so it’s a wonderful and comfortable way to explore your sexuality, and see what you might like or dislike. If you’re in a relationship, you can even try to use it as way to think of new things to try in the bedroom. It’s like a giant encyclopedia for porn that you don’t have to be seen walking out of the library with.
