We don’t care if you can see our nipples through our tops

Serena Williams caused a stir at Wimbledon and we have no idea why!

Tennis legend Serena Williams’ nipples stole the show at Wimbledon during one of her games.

No, it wasn’t the fact she was competing for her seventh title and is all around life goals (not to mention her appearance in Beyonce‘s Sorry was the gift we have all been waiting for) – it was that her goddamn nipples were showing through her top and no one would shut up about it.

I know right? How could she? It’s damn obvious that’s the only thing anyone would even notice. She should have been more careful. Could she even playing tennis with them just there?

By this point every woman should be thinking hell no. And rightfully so.

Fuck that. Fuck everything about that.

We’re already trying hard enough to free the actual nipple and now we have to worry about a little nipple action through our clothes?

Nope.

Serena shouldn’t give a fuck and neither should we.

I choose to not wear a bra mainly because I never feel like it. I think every woman is entitled to their own body and holds the freedom to represent themselves however they choose. Whenever I am braless I feel the more natural and radiant. I also think it’s sexy, women are blessed with breasts so that we can embrace them. Whenever someone tells me to cover up, I don’t understand why? I’m not going to hide something so natural, that makes me feel beautiful. There’s no reason for me to hide or secure them because it could offend someone. My body shouldn’t be anyone else’s concern.

To state the obvious, bras are really fucking uncomfortable. For me it’s rarely about making some kind of a statement, it’s that I literally don’t care and would rather be able to sit without being feeling wire digging into my ribs. It’s just so low on the things that are important in the world. DGAF.

As I am a lady with quite sizable mammary glands, most of the time I can’t afford to not wear a bra (I envy you B cups). This is shit because 1) bras aren’t comfortable and 2) they look crap with most tops (1 inch wide bra straps aren’t pretty). But sometimes I feel a bit wild & free and decide to go braless when a certain item of clothing calls for it. The pointer sisters come out to play and IDGAF who stares. Yes I have tits, yes you can see my nipples. I know they’re hard, it’s cold, fuck off.

Having the smallest boobs in the world I find it pointless to wear a bra. When I was younger I’d always wear one to give the illusion that I had something and it was uncomfortable because no bra ever fit right. College came around and I said to myself, “I’m done.” I’d rather be comfortable than constantly adjusting straps. And no one has said anything to me about them.

Social norms and Victoria’s Secret shouldn’t be able to dictate what I wear. If I don’t wanna wear a bra, I don’t, and vice versa.

Lauren Sarah Cocking

I never actually wear underwired bras – only those bralettes or sports bras, because I don’t want to deal with the digging in of underwires. I just find them so uncomfortable and unnecessary. Where possible, I don’t bother with a bra at all even though it can look super obvious how uneven my boobs are. Plus I have my left nipple pierced (it’s the small one, I wanted to make it feel special), so I love any excuse to show it off.

I also love backless tops of any description, so bras are usually a no go anyway.

I’m not ashamed to not wear a bra. Breasts are natural, nipples are natural and so what if they show. As someone with a smaller chest, it might be easier for me to go braless than other larger chested girls, but I could give a fuck less if it bothers people. Free the nips!

Abby Levine

Fuck bras.

Noelle Fallacara

I was at a festival and it rained and i just let them free.

Caroline Phinney

I used to be super self-conscious about not having boobs. I worked at a swim-club and would always wear a t-shirt over my one-piece. Things have changed. I don’t wear bras anymore, and I love my AAs so I’m gonna rep them because idgaf.

Celeste Horvath

Wearing a bra is obviously a personal preference, but why not show off your nips? It’s sexy and has personally made me much more body positive. There are plenty of reasons to go braless, they’re expensive, they’re uncomfortable and finding the perfect fit is almost impossible.

Zoe Weaver

Bras are stupid for me to wear more than half the time. The only reason I wear them typically is because of where I work. They are expensive, uncomfortable and when you get boob sweat, they hold it all in. Summer is my favorite time to free the nipple.

Kyra Lucas

I’m not ashamed to not wear a bra because I value comfort – it feels freeing and amazing. If you see my nipples through my shirt, so what? They’re nipples we all have them. The only time that they should be a thing of concern to anyone is if I take of my shirt and slap them in the face with my breast. Unless that exact situation comes up I don’t want a lecture or a look of disapproval, basically stfu. Not wearing a bra  makes navigating through life just little less stressful. I will not restrain or feel ashamed of my body just because people chose to sexualize it. That’s their problem, not mine.

Tally Voedisch

I’m happy to flaunt my nips, I’m comfortable with it. But regardless of your own preference it’s not anyone’s decision but your own if you whether or not you wear a bra. You should always do and wear whatever makes you comfortable, don’t worry about criticism from anyone else. It’s not their choice.

Sorry not sorry if this was distracting.
