Kim Kardashian’s selfie app ‘Perfect365’ makes me not trust Instagram

You can give yourself a facelift

If you’re like me, putting makeup on in the morning sounds more stressful than fun. I’m not one to wear makeup every day, and part of the reason for that is because I don’t really understand how makeup works.

Luckily, you don’t have to actually apply makeup to look radiant. All you need is a smart phone.

I downloaded Kim Kardashian’s recommended selfie app, Perfect365, and went on to spend a week convincing people that I’d changed my hair color and wore makeup each day.

Here are some before and after pictures to show the difference.

Day one was relatively light

I went for a natural look here – had to ease my way into it.

Day two was similar, except I added some hair color

And . . . everyone believed me.

By day three, I began putting more into it

On day four, I wanted to use my Kylie Lip Kit

I added darker eyeshadow to go with it, in addition to more eyeliner.

On day five, I decided to play with my features

I shrunk my eyebrows down and used contour to slim my face, lift my cheekbones and define my nose. The result is kind of scary.

On day six, I thought I would try one of the featured looks

The categories are ‘Everyday,’ ‘Chic,’ ‘Romantic,’ ‘Glamour,’ and ‘Wild.’ This was under the category ‘Chic,’ and is called ‘Charm.’ I then made my hair grey, because why not?

On the last day, I went full on

I changed pretty much every feature possible, and here is what it looked like.

I kept it consistent with the hair in the beginning, just to make it seem real. I ended up playing with just about all of my features, and it was pretty interesting how easy it was to manipulate myself. Even though I only posted two picture on social media, I effectively convinced people that I had done my makeup and dyed my hair twice. My hair, in fact, is still blonde, and I still do not understand contour.

New hair, new me.

But fake changing my hair color was still fun!

With this app, you can change the look of your face and hair – it is even possible to give yourself a facelift.

This makes you wonder how much of those Insta pics are genuine, and how many are completely changed using third party apps.
