Who needs men when you've got clothes right
Recently, a T-Shirt created by radical feminists in the 70s went viral on Instagram. It says “THE FUTURE IS FEMALE” and was created for the first women’s bookstore in New York City,Labyris Books. It was then recreated by Rachel Birks, who sells feminist clothes on her store Otherwild, and sold out in just two days. Since then, it’s been seen on modern day feminists like Annie Clark of St Vincent and girlfriend Cara Delevingne. Now, similar slogans are on T-Shirts everywhere, with captions ranging from “girls bite back” to “a man of quality is not threatened by a woman of quality.” There’s brands like Omighty who pretty much specialise in them, but even high street shops like Topshop, Missguided and H&M have introduced them to the shop floors.
Every day, it becomes more acceptable openly show your feminism, and there’s no easier way to do so with what you wear.
