Across the country thousands of people took to the streets last night to protest Donald Trump’s Muslim ban, and his upcoming state visit to the UK.
Yesterday a petition to stop the POTUS from entering the UK surpassed one million signatures in just over a day. The description says: “Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK in his capacity as head of the US Government, but he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen.”
But yesterday Downing Street have still not changed their position on Trump’s state visit, saying: “An invitation has been extended and accepted.” Understandably, people are not impressed.
