People are absolutely dragging the Daily Mail for their sexist front page this morning

The paper has highlighted that women, yes women, have legs

It’s rare that a week can go by without the Daily Mail angering someone, making some mildly racist remark, slagging off immigrants or hating on the poor.

Today’s special from woman-hating Sarah Vine is in the form of out-right sexism, featuring a front page image of Prime Minister Theresa May and Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon sat next to one another with the headline ‘Never mind Brexit, who won Legs-it!’

Because what was important in their meeting about Brexit and Article 50 wasn’t world affairs, the economy, a potential second referendum and the biggest political shake up to happen in years, but their legs, and people are dragging the Daily Mail for it.

Firstly people wanted to point out what year it was (it’s 2017 btw)

And highlight how dumb and sexist the headline is

Pictures of male politicians with their legs out were shared to emphasise how idiotic it all is

Because it’s quite obvious that a good pair of legs and your political success don’t go hand in hand

A competition for who has the best legs in the UK erupted

It was an opportunity to rinse the Daily Mail, which is always fun

Aside from the sexism, let’s not forget how bad the pun actually was

People highlighted the bigger problems

It feels like yet another step back
