This is the official Instagram hair trend of summer 2017

You know the drill, y'all: Every summer, some new trend gets its lil claws into the Instagram influencers. It starts popping up everywhere, then finally makes its way down to your coolest friends, and then — finally –everyone you know.

Two summers ago, it was that Kylie dip-dyed blue:

And of course, Summer 16 was dominated by the grey hair trend absolutely everyone wanted:

Both blue and grey were a little…difficult for us mere mortals to pull off, though, but this summer's hair color craze is like Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants-level universally flattering.

It's rose gold, and it's surprisingly easy to achieve, pull off, and manage. I mean, just look at this sorbet-toned masterpiece:

It even works with brunette hair:

The best part is the color's versatility — you can turn up the pigment and get some in-your-face-rose-all-day super pink or just boast a touch of peach blended in to more natural colors:

Doesn't it just remind you of sitting on a patio, drinking champagne-based cocktails?
