It’s taken nine seasons but RuPaul’s amazingly bad runway puns have finally become a meme

And I’m so proud to see it. I’m so proud to see it

There are certain things that we’ve come to expect from RuPaul’s Drag Race, the greatest show to ever appear on television, over the past eight years. For example, every season there will be a fishy queen who can’t sew, every episode the queens will gather around the make-up mirror to talk about a ridiculously serious subject for like seven minutes of screen time, every “bitch of the season” will be identified to the audience from that “shady” rattling sound.

And every runway RuPaul will rely on some truly wonderful awful puns.

It’s taken everyone a relatively long time to pick up on the strangely robotic, hypnotic movements that RuPaul uses to announce her winners and losers and truly bizarre prizes (this season included giving a lifetime supply of burgers to a vegetarian and Peppermint literally winning a five year subscription to Squarespace), but finally, shortly after Trixie Mattel started doing her amazing Ru impressions, it’s become a meme.

We are finally vindicated. Here are the best ones to enjoy before you binge watch the last 111 glorious episodes all over again.

I can't stop. Uh oh

If you’re hungry for more you can always check out these puns (from the pre-meme times) on the RPDR Reddit, which I’ve recently discovered is probably the best place on the internet.
