Katy Perry calls Taylor Swift ‘so messed up’ in her newest interview

In her interview with British magazine NME, Katy Perry stirred up more Taylor Swift drama by addressing the hot take she gave on Carpool Karaoke.

On the show with James Cordon, Katy said Taylor “started it.” With NME, she defends her account by saying the world needed to know the truth and no one had ever asked her opinion. She says she wishes that she could turn the other cheek and not address the drama, but goes on to say:

“I’m also not a pushover, you know? Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls [her fans]. That’s so messed up!”

Kim K. would agree T. Swift is an overrated, “messed up” snake, and I mean fuck, I kind of agree too, but it seems sad that Katy is bringing this bad blood back to light now that she has a new album to promote. The fight was three years ago. “Bad Blood” is old news now.

Maybe she’s trying to distract from the fact that she’s under fire for appropriating Black culture. maybe it’s just because she looks a little more like Justin Bieber every day — either way, the schtick is old. Let’s move on, yeah?
