Taylor Swift is officially back on Spotify, and I’m canceling all my weekend plans

No more bad blood

Taylor Swift finally put her music back on Spotify and I am literally never listening to another artist again.

Swift originally left Spotify because she believes artists should value their art and make sure people are paying sufficient amounts for it — something she didn’t believe Spotify was stepping up to.

She also mentioned Spotify could hurt sales, because music is available for streaming on Spotify, even for people who don’t pay for streaming.

“I’m always up for trying something. And I tried it and I didn’t like the way it felt. I think there should be an inherent value placed on art,” she told Time. Artists like her can make up to six million dollars off of it, but she argued that was nothing compared to what she’d make on her own.

However, it seems she’s changed her tune, and Spotify is better for it. Perhaps it’s because she’s announced new music coming soon, and she wants to remind people of how much they love her, or maybe she realized she needed Spotify more than she thought.

Whatever it is, cancel all my plans, because I’m busy.
