This new app lets you date your unrequited crush’s lookalike because that’s not weird at all

You creepy little worm

If you’ve dreamt of locking down Ryan Gosling or David Beckham, get in goddamn line, because so have the rest of us.

Or maybe you’re more of a Styles girl? Perhaps Ansel Elgort is your type, but we all know he’s been dating his high school girlfriend for years, with no sign of breaking up any time soon. Maybe you’re still hung up on the dude who you really liked but ghosted you after date three.

Well, at least now you can have the next best thing.

Badoo is a wild new doppelgänger app that allows you to link up with your celebrity — or real-life — crush lookalike.

You were kidding yourself thinking someone like Elgort would be on a pleb dating app like Tinder to begin with, but according to reports, this app comes pretty freaking close when matching.

And it’s not just celebrities

The craziest, and creepiest, part of this app is that it allows you to upload photos of anyone — that guy you liked who liked your friend, the skater dude you saw on tumblr, your high school English teacher — and then it sorts through the photos of people who look most like them and helps you to find your own (arguably slightly less aspirational) version.

They’ve partnered with Bumble and are already growing rapidly, so if you want to make all of your ex high school friends jealous with your new, almost perfect, arm candy, this is your best shot.
