Twitter users have cracked the code on why Jay-Z’s album is called ‘4:44’

How did we miss this?

We all remember the infamous elevator brawl between Solange and Jay-Z following the Met Gala. The fight people are arguing provided us with “three of the most prolific albums of our time.”

We already know the Beyhive was right about the first two albums, but we’ve been waiting on proof for Jay-Z’s 4:44.

And now we have it.

People are losing it right now over this Twitter user’s realization

Stephen Ossola was at the Standard hotel in New York City last night when he realized the address of the exact location where Solange “beat Jay-Z’s ass in the elevator” is 444, the name of Jay-Z’s most recent album.

‘4:44’ was such a random name

4:44 is a song that I wrote, and it’s the crux of the album, just right in the middle of the album. And I woke up, literally, at 4:44 in the morning, 4:44 AM, to write this song,” he told iHeartRadio’s The Beat in an exclusive interview. “So it became the title of the album and everything. It’s the title track because it’s such a powerful song, and I just believe one of the best songs I’ve ever written.”

Jay-Z lied to us and we fell for it

Some were skeptical saying the address for The Standard is actually 848

But they’re only kind of right

Because the address for Le Bain, a penthouse discothèque and rooftop bar on the top floor of The Standard, High Line in the Meatpacking District, is 444 West 13th Street in New York.

And now everyone is going mental

Our collective worlds have been rocked

It all makes sense

The FBI better hire this guy

He’s cracked the code.

We’ve reached out to him to find out what the next album will be about.
