Judge throws out case against Taylor Swift

The judge overseeing David Mueller’s case against Taylor Swift has just thrown out the case because he can’t prove it was Swift who got the DJ fired.

Swift, 27, accused radio host David Mueller, 55, of groping her during a photo op before a concert in 2013. Mueller sued Swift for what he asserted was a false accusation that ruined his reputation, seeking $3 million in damages. Swift countersued for sexual assault, seeking just $1 in retribution.

Earlier today, the singer’s bodyguard testified against the DJ, saying he witnessed Mueller put his hand under Swift’s skirt in a “violation” of her body. He said, “I know she wasn’t comfortable with it, that’s why she moved, pushed (her) skirt down and moved closer to the woman.”

Swift and her mother both testified earlier in the trial. Swift called the alleged assault “horrifying and shocking” in her testimony. She said “he stayed latched on to my bare ass cheek as I moved away from him visibly uncomfortable.”

Meanwhile, her mother broke into tears on the stand saying the assault had “destroyed” her daughter.

A jury will now come to a verdict about Mueller’s further allegations against Swift’s mother and her radio liaison, saying they set out to get him fired.

Taylor Swift’s countersuit remains and closing arguments are set for Monday morning.
