Aaaaand we finally have a theme for the second season of ’13 Reasons Why’

Could have lived my whole life without hearing this

The popular Netflix series “13 Reasons Why,” championed by some as the first mainstream series to bring attention to youth suicide is back with a second season, and people have extremely mixed feelings.

The show, a dramatization of the suicide of a young girl, has drawn attention from all over the country, and particularly so in suicide cases since the airing of the first season that have displayed a strikingly similar resemblance to the show.

See a timetable of suicides allegedly linked to the hit Netflix series.

“This season particularly is a lot about recovery,” Dylan Minnette, Clay Jensen on the show, told Entertainment Tonight. He also said it would pick up a few months after where the first season ended. Maybe this even means Alex survived. If it’s not him recovering, then who? The families, the friends the community?

However, this hasn’t done much to ease the minds of actual families who claim their kids’ suicides are linked to the show.

“I think Bella would still be alive if she hadn’t watched this show,” one father told In Touch Weekly.

His fifteen-year-old daughter died by suicide nearly immediately after binge-watching the show, and he claims to have contacted Netflix a number of times asking them to keep a second season off the air.
