Kylie Jenner’s reason for getting bigger lips is sad, but also kind of relatable?

Yesterday on Life of Kylie, Kylie Jenner revealed the true reason behind her decision to plump up her lips: a guy.

Apparently, a boy Kylie liked told her he didn't think she'd be a good kisser because of her thin lips and so she did what any sane person would do — she plumped them up and created a multi-million dollar empire based off of her new attributes.

Poor Kylie. She said hearing that made her feel less than desirable. She didn't feel pretty and thus began Kylie's journey into over-lining her lips until, eventually, she got injections.

Here's Kylie's quote in full:

“I was 15 and I was insecure about my lips. I have really small lips. And it was like one of my first kisses and a guy was like, ‘I didn’t think you would be a good kisser because you have such small lips.’ But I took that really hard. Just when a guy you like says that, I don’t know, it just really affected me. I just didn’t feel desirable or pretty. I really wanted bigger lips. I would overline my lips with lip liner just to create the illusion of bigger lips. And then finally I was like this lip liner isn’t doing it. [I] ended up getting my lips done.”

As sad as it is that a boy is the reason Kylie decided to change her lips, we've all been there. I once straightened my hair every day for three years so my crush would like me more. Turns out, it wasn't my hair he didn't like but my personality. Whoops!

The moral of the story is: stars! they're just like us. Except Kylie because Kylie is a mystical faerie goddess that only exists in the wild hills of Calabasas, California.
