Guys want to lead you on for a few weeks and then dip out, according to a new study

Sound familiar?

Things are going well — like, really well. You think you might even tell your mom.

But that's a dangerous move, because once you do, and once they mess up, there's no going back. You can't win back the trust of a mom. You also feel bad because you've gotten her hopes up so many times. There was Dan, and Matt, oh and then Josh. She really liked him.

But with Chris it's different. He takes you out to dinner and doesn't end every single dates with "Wanna' take it back to my place?" so there's no doubt he's interested.

But according to a new study by Kinsey Institute at Indiana University, he does want to fuck you over. He just wants to waste a good chunk of your time and tie on a few heart strings before he does it.

One night stands are high school play and friends with benefits has become too much for commitment-phobes, so we've found a happy medium. He wants to date you for a few weeks — like seriously date you — and then leave as soon as you've gotten close.

He'll last about three or four weeks, so plan them well. If you have a wedding to go to, or need someone to make your ex jealous at a mutual friend's party. But know that he'll slowly stop answering your texts, until he eventually doesn't answer them at all.

On the bright side, it's kind of like you get the honeymoon phase — just nothing after.

Shit. You already told your mom, didn't you?
