Finally, Instagram gives us the useful update we’ve been begging for
You can run but you can’t hide

No one has ever felt as foolish as still following someone who has unfollowed you on social media.
Maybe you want to know because you have a crush on someone. Maybe you want to see if it's a mutual follow. Or maybe you're tired of this person's posts and want to know if you can unfollow them without losing a follow of your own.
Luckily, Instagram has heard our cries and has unveiled a new "follows you" feature. Much like on Twitter, you'll be able to see on a user's profile if they follow you or not.
Now, you can see if Megan, who only posts annoying pictures of her and her boyfriend, follows you or not. And if she doesn't? Well, embrace the euphoria that comes with clicking that "unfollow" button without consequence to you and your follower count.
Unfortunately, the "follows you" feature is only available to (ugh) Android users right now. For iPhone users, the new Instagram feature should be available with the next iOS update. But it needs to hurry up and get here because there are at least ten people I'm dying to unfollow.
In the meantime, I'm sure you can spend your time freaking out about this other new Instagram update that's about to fuck up your perfect, curated feed.
