Just when you thought Forever 21 couldn’t get any more Forever 21-y, they collab with Taco Bell
What’s the opposite of haute couture?
by Jenn Ficarra
Taco Bell is sacred. It is a gift bestowed upon us mere mortals by the gods above so we could know true nirvana here on Earth.
Forever 21 is a dumpster fire brought to life, which I reluctantly patronize to find cheap club dresses that will literally decay on my body as I shimmy to a Justin Bieber remix.
So why, cruel world, would you tarnish one of the only pure, beautiful things on this planet with a Forever 21 collaboration?
Taco Bell and Forever 21 announced a new clothing collaboration to drop on October 11. The collaboration will feature a millennial pink sweatshirt with tacos on it (because of course) and a red tank top that's supposed to look like their fire sauce packet.
According to the press release, Taco Bell says the collab will be “updated with pops of color and distinctive illustrations that effortlessly bring the heat.” Other items in the line include shirts, bodysuits, sweatshirts, cropped hoodies, and jackets.
Can we stop the fucking world because I want to get off. How dare Taco Bell lower themselves to parlay with such a repugnant brand? Taco Bell deserves collaborations with Balmain or Alexander Wang, not Forever 21.
I cannot believe they would bastardize themselves in this way. Please pray for me in my time of mourning.
