People are commenting the meanest shit on Bella Thorne’s makeup-free Instagram

‘Yuck’

I don't stan Bella Thorne. She exists, I try not to think about her often, and life continues roll forward towards judgment day.

Last week people were mad because she posted an Instagram claiming it's revolutionary to ask for your body to be un-retouched when you already have the ideal Hollywood body. The week before people were cheering her and her new girlfriend on, and the week before that people were pissed about something else.

But this week, it's worth noting what people have decided to dredge up, because it's something she has literally no control over.

Her acne.

MY SKIN IS GETTING BETTER LETS GOOOOO

A few moths ago, Thorne took to Instagram to post a similar selfie, saying, "It’s no secret I struggle with acne. I’m very self conscious and constantly feeling bad about myself. But it's normal to have acne. Everyone does."

And this week she posted her progress photo to both Instagram and twitter.

Of course, people had nothing else to make fun of

Some told her to put her makeup back on

While others told her to stop eating greasy food

And the rest were just flat out dicks

Celebrities have a ton of control over a lot of aspects of their life, but their skin, similarly to the rest of us, isn't one of them.

Just because you're famous and might be able to afford certain skincare products doesn't guarantee they'll work.

You can disagree with a celebrity's political leanings, you can think they're an inappropriate role-model for children, you can dislike their music, or you can think they're shitty at acting, but making fun of them for something like acne is just lazy and mean.

I, for one, wonder what products she's using, because her skin has never looked so good.
