Kylie denounces her Jenner name, decides to become full-time YouTuber

Kylie just decided to pull a full-on Kendall, attempting to remove her last name from the collective consciousness because she says it's all become too tiring.

"I don't want to be 'Kylie Jenner,'" she said in an interview with Complex magazine.

And as a part of her push to rebrand herself, she's also begun working as a full-time YouTuber.

Although the "fame isn't bad," she says she feels like she doesn't know who she is anymore, "It’s become a job more than who I am." And maybe she thinks the move to YouTube will change things for her?

A lot of young people get their news there and are super plugged into the online community, but celebrities don't have to do this. It makes sense why a C or D list, pseudo up and coming celeb might try it out, or even a makeup artist who wants to get their work out there, but celebrities like Kylie already have massive followings and don't have to build them.

But with Shay Mitchell from Pretty Little Liars and Madelaine Petsch — Cheryl from Riverdale — doing a similar thing, it feels like a number of celebrities have become concerned with building a following on the video blogging platform, proving it must really be where the money is.

"I don’t want to be that person anymore," she said of the Jenner name.

So here's to 2017 — the year we went back to 2015 and all became YouTube bloggers.
