Lana Del Rey wrote ‘my pussy tastes like Pepsi Cola’ about Harvey Weinstein
‘I got sweet taste for men who’re older’
The longtime rumor that Lana Del Rey wrote her song "Cola" about Harvey Weinstein has just been confirmed.
The song was released in November 2012 on her EP Paradise, just four months after she was spotted having lunch with Weinstein in Paris, and this week an insider in the entertainment industry told Page Six the song is about him pursuing a relationship with her.
She would later be hired by Weinstein Company to write two songs, and in 2013 he joined her on tour.
The lyrics to the song, which were originally, "I got sweet taste for men who're older / It's always been so it's no surprise / Harvey's in the sky with diamonds / And it's making me crazy / All he wants to do is party with his pretty baby," were eventually changed to "Ah he's in the sky."
"Harvey went bananas and insisted Del Rey change the lyrics," the source told Page Six, "so the line now goes, 'Ah he's in the sky with diamonds.'"
The source also said Del Rey "had a boyfriend" at the time, but the lyrics "I pledge allegiance to my dad for teaching me everything he knows," say otherwise.
