Your boyfriend really wants to fuck your best friend, according to this new study

I’m locking the doors

I think I speak for all women when I say we'd rather catch you in a threesome with your coworker, our cousin and some girl you met at The Capital Grille than find out you fucked our best friend. Certain holes are not for filling.

But apparently, when it comes to cheating, your best friend is the person your partner is most likely to turn to.

In a recent study spearheaded by Forktip, researchers interviewed 5000 participants. 40 percent of the men admitted to cheating, and most said it was with their partner's best friend.

Affairs with coworkers (such a cliche, y'all) came in second place, but luckily for us all, partner's family members came in dead last.

And while it's unforgivable, the attraction to a friend makes sense — Gossip Girl warned us all. They're spending tons of time together, they're always around, and they really only see each other's highlights. Eventually, the two of them have become close without meaning to and your partner's attention begins to stray.

Reasons for cheating ranged from "lack of enjoyment and fun," to "not having enough sex," to "partner cheated first," to "partner not leaving you sexually satisfied."

Some signs your partner might be cheating with your best friend include him mentioning she's attractive, him asking about her when you're out and him acting strange when you're all hanging in the same place.

So before you dismiss your best friend from the list of people he's potentially cheating with — "She would never do that to me!" — you may want to invite the two out and pay closer attention to who's really out with whom.
