Thomas Edison could never

I've said it before and I'll say it again: women are smarter than men. And now, thanks to Twitter user @AngelaBrisk, next time I say that and some dude tries to challenge me I'll have definitive proof that I'm right.

If you've ever tried to bring outside food into a movie theater, you know that AMC and the TSA basically have the same playbook at this point — they will pat you down just to confiscate your Hint of Lime chips (and if you've never tried to bring outside food into a movie theater, you're a narc)!

But one woman dared to dream up an unimpeachable scheme to bring her own snacks to the cinema, and she was generous enough to share it with the world.

Wow. I can't believe I'm alive at the same time as this genius.

There are layers to how fucking good of an idea this is. First of all, it seems to require that you go to a craft store, which is a fun and soothing activity in to begin with. Art is great for the soul.

Secondly, the ruse itself is flawless! Nobody who works at a movie theater is getting paid enough to ask if a customer is pregnant.

Third, the fake stomach is made of styrofoam, which means (I think?) that the food you bring into the theater will be insulated to your liking! Have you ever tried to bring a meatball sub into the movie theater in your purse only to have it get cold by the time the credits are over? No longer!

This tweet only reinforces how important it is that there is room for women in the STEM community, because this concept is a feat of engineering brilliance. I have never felt more confident that we will shatter the glass ceiling than I do right now, and you should too.
