Poor Demi Lovato was just made into another meme and I feel bad but like…it’s really funny

Let me just preface this whole article by saying I’m rooting for our girl Demi. I thought Cool For the Summer was a certified Jam (Turn It Up) and her documentary made me think of her as more than just the girl who fell down in the pool on MTV’s Spring Break:

What is it about her that makes Demi so meme-able? Even when she’s trying to be earnest, the internet (OK, it’s mostly Gay/Stan Twitter that does this) turns her into a meme.

A few weeks ago, a clip from her documentary was made into one. In the video, Demi is describing a manic episode in which she punches her backup dancer for snitching on her drug use. Demi very seriously recalls her train of thought and says, “I’m gonna beat this bitch up.” And you can guess what happened next:

A few days later, she posted some Snapchats of her sexy cop Halloween costume. Very predictably, this is what went down:

Last night, we were blessed with yet another Demimeme. For reasons unknown (a video, maybe?) Demi posted this photo to her Twitter account:

It took exactly 30 seconds until it turned into this:

Have you been counting? That’s three memes in like, three weeks. Part of me feels bad for Demi because I know she wants to be taken seriously as an artist. But at the same time, mama needs her memes. And Miss Demetria is a never-ending fountain of Twitter gags.
