While everyone’s celebrating Shaun White’s victory, let’s talk about his DISGUSTING sexual harassment allegations

Gold medal in being a creep

Olympic gold snowboarder Shaun White has a dark past. While everyone cheered him as he won his third gold medal, sharing reaction memes and videos of his triumphant victory, a disturbing lawsuit resurfaced that painted him in a far different light.

In a case that White settled, he was said to have texted Lena Zawaideh, the drummer in his band Bad Things, pictures of "engorged and erect penises" and excrement porn, as well as a video of a couple having sex on top of a dead bear.

The lawsuit, first reported by Deadspin, said he also forced Zawaideh, then 17-18, to drink vodka and put his hands down his pants, then made her smell his hands.

It added: "White used his role to impose a strict regime over Zawaideh, going so far as to demand that she cut her hair, wear sexually revealing clothes and underwear, and refrain from wearing red lipstick—her own personal signature."

White also was reported to have made sexual comments to Zawaideh about her boyfriend, commenting: "Don't forget to suck his balls!"

He knew he was making her comfortable but kept doing it, the lawsuit says.

Some of the text messages from the lawsuit, which contain porn, are below.

Court documents include allegations detailing nearly five years of abusive behavior, which Zawaideh was said to have endured because "she did not want to cause injuries to the band or be fired by White."

She initially filed because White reportedly withheld wages for her work. She settled in May 2017 for an undisclosed amount.

Court documents say White "became increasingly hostile and threatening" after losing at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

For his part, White dismissed the lawsuit as "gossip."

He told reporters at a press conference: "I am who I am. And I'm proud of who I am. And my friends love me and vouch for me, and I think that stands on its own."
