There will be NO Black Panther porn parody, according to these three porn stars

I support them!

Black Panther has been an overwhelming success by any metric — Reviews? Overwhelmingly positive. Audience response? Elation. Box office metrics? So far, so good with no end in sight.

But you know what there isn't going to be? A porn parody version — at least, not according to adult actors Prince Yahshua, Rob Piper or Isiah Maxwell.

Yahshua said he made his decision not to participate in a pornographic rehash of the "Historical Black movie" after seeing "the true meanin behind this upliftin amazin movie."

Maxwell said his "respect is too high" for the film to participate in a parody if the role was offered to him.

Piper, for his part, hasn't commented specifically, but has favorited a few Black Panther-related tweets, including one that cast him in a potential pornographic adaptation so… the jury is still out.

Based on the response to the film itself from black moviegoers, who've gushed on and offline about how validating, empowering and downright fun it is to see a superhero movie (or any movie) with a cast of characters who actually represent them, it's an understandable choice — and probably a savvy business move.

So far, responses to the statements from both Yahshua and Piper have been overwhelmingly positive.

Plus, not to be a dick, but Black Panther the comic book character existed before Black Panther the blockbuster. Which means…

Yeah. Happy viewing!
