People are dragging Honey Boo Boo for ‘acting Black’ on Instagram and…just come read this, it’s a mess

‘Honey, I’m white’

Yesterday, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson posted a video on her Instagram story, addressing comments about so-called appropriative behavior on her account.

According to the reality TV child star, people have been leaving comments under her Instagram posts telling her to "stop acting Black."

Her bio says she's "Str8?? • Single???," and "60k??."

Live life to the fullest bc you only got one .

But in an Instagram story captured by The Shade Room, Honey Boo Boo denies the allegations, saying, "Ho, you can't act a color."

"Let me just tell y'all, someone just told me to stop acting Black in my comments. Honey!," she said, "The last thing I am is Black, honey, I'm white. Look at my face, hun. I'm white.

"And I want to know how the fuck you act a color?" she continues, "Like, oh you wake up one day and be like, 'Hm, let's see! I'm gonna be purple!' Hoe, you can't act a color."

The 12-year-old came became a household name after TLC aired an eponymous show about her family, but she originally rose to fame on the child beauty pageant show Toddlers & Tiaras.

Since her show ended in 2014, she admits she's struggled with personal issues. She ran away from home and her mom, June Shannon, and says she's "very lonely" now that her mom has a new boyfriend. Her older sister is pregnant and has a new boyfriend as well.

According to her dad, who she says she prefers, he has minimal visitation rights but is working on getting more.
