Your weekly horoscopes are here, and things are heating up for the first time in months
It’s been a long, dry winter
There's something abut this week that's like . . . everyone is suddenly in a really good mood? I don't know if it's the weather, the fact that cuffing season is finally over, or a combination of the two. But maybe, just maybe things will actually stay this way.
Let's take this little bit of light we've happened upon, and use it to do things we wouldn't normally do otherwise, like go out without drinking ourselves into oblivion, tell people how we feel about them when we're actually feeling those feelings and laugh a bit harder than we have since last summer. It's been a long winter. Here's everything the stars have in store for you this week, with illustrations by Lucy Turnbull for babe.
Optimistic, yet impatient to a fault, you've been super rough on yourself in the dating sector lately. Maybe it's because it's March so you're less inclined to go out, but you're probably just using that as an excuse. The reason you're actually holding off is because you're tired of getting hurt every time you put yourself out there. But you know what's not going to make it any better? Sitting on those thoughts instead of going out and trying your hand at something new…or someone new! Schedule at least two semi-dates this week. They can be with old flames, new flames, somewhere in between flames — just don't bail on them like I know you're tempted to.
Tomorrow, Venus moves into Aries, which means it would be a good time for you to get something off your chest. Even if you're afraid it's going to change things between you two, you'll feel much more settled once you finally know for sure where they stand. A relationship can't be a relationship if it's entirely one-sided. Everyone else see it for what it is. Go for a drink with a friend, have them help you draft a message and hit send before you even have time to process what you've done. Tomorrow, with Venus moving into Aries, will be your best shot. Good luck.
With Mars in Sagittarius, you're feeling more restless than ever. Not just in work and day-to-day life, but in your romantic relationships, too. You feel like you've hit a wall and you're not quite sure how to proceed at this point. I'd love to tell you to give up and move on — quitting always feels like the easier option — but you have a really good shot at making things work this time around. So as your friend, I'm going to have to go ahead and force your hand. I know you hate making decisions, but this is going to be an important one. Give it a bit more thought than usual. By this weekend, you'll know exactly how to proceed.
An aspect of your relationship with someone has felt extremely tender lately, but that's proof it's worth your time. Don't crawl back into your shell and hide just because you're uncomfortable with confrontation — confrontation doesn't always have to be negative. You have this habit of worrying yourself into a frenzy and bundling all of those emotions up inside instead of allowing someone else to carry them with you, but you don't always have to do everything yourself. It's a lonely way to live, thinking you couldn't possibly need anybody else for anything. It's okay to let other people see your soft underbelly. It's not like they don't already know you have one. Roll over and let it show.
With Mercury in Aries, you're under more pressure than usual to make a decision about something that could affect your relationship with someone very close to you. Always the good cop, it might finally be your turn to stand up and tell someone what's been on your mind. That thing you think about every single time you get into the shower? Yeah, tell someone. You're only human which means you can only bottle things up for so long before the tables turn, and you you end up getting hurt instead. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is be vulnerable with someone. Especially when they aren't being vulnerable with you.
Feel like you want to go home and have a good cry? Not sure why? Yeah that'll be Venus in Pisces, but don't panic. It's only for one more day. That means don't do anything rash today because you may regret it when you're feeling more yourself again. That angry text you were going to send, that fight you were going to pick with that person you can't stop thinking of, just try and hold out. Words are one of the hardest things to take back, and especially when those words are biting. Talk it through with a friend and ask them how they think you should approach the subject instead. Everyone needs edits in life — allow someone else to provide yours.
Congrats on a long hard week behind you. Things have been hectic lately and that's not going to change, but it might become more fun. The best thing about you is that you're always thinking ahead which means you hardly have a spare moment in your day — there's too much planning to be done. But could that mean you've been ignoring some more pressing matters? It's easy to sweep things under the rug because you'd rather keep your mind busy with other thoughts, but eventually they're going to creep up on you, and you'd be better not letting them boil over. Nothing can simply simmer forever.
You're feeling more feelings than usual, and that's saying a lot considering you're the watery-est of water signs. You've looked elsewhere — tried to blame it on other people or things — but you'd benefit from turning inwards for once. You love to drown out your thoughts with music, friends, alcohol, but those things only feel good for so long before they start to feel really, really bad. Pause and take a break before you end up going too far. Just because you're overwhelmed doesn't mean you don't have complete control over the situation. Things only have the ability to stress you out when you allow them to. Try giving the middle finger instead.
You know that feeling when you're running and running and then you suddenly stop and it all hits you at once? Yeah, that's kind of how you feel this week, so you might want to sit down if you're reading this. You have this tendency to overbook yourself, and under-book actual time for yourself, but that's because you've always preferred to keep busy. It's not good for your body or your mind, though. How are you meant to balance friends, relationships, work, health and a packed partying schedule? It's not possible. Take a note from some of your more reclusive friends this week, a turn down a plan or two. Opt for some time in with someone you care about instead. You may have problems you've been brushing off.
With the sun in Pisces, there are so many things you want to do, so many places you want to see, and so little time to do it all. You've been dreaming instead of doing, and now it's time to put all of those ambitions to action. Pull the trigger on booking that flight, call that person and tell them everything you've been writing songs in your head about and then get to work on all those creative ideas you've been sitting on. What's the use of being the most interesting and earnest person you know if you're not going to let anyone else see it? Just because you're a boring adult now doesn't mean you always have to act like one. Let loose and work on laughing again.
The next week is going to be a really good one for you because you're finally starting to feel like yourself again. 2018 has been a wild ride for you so far, but with winter turning to spring, plans are falling into place and so are the people and things around you. Rough spells don't last forever, and you're finally about to be rewarded for yours. With Mercury only in Pisces for one more day, take advantage of the feelings you're feeling and turn them into ideas instead. By the time Wednesday hits, you will have so many of the answers you've been searching for lately. Just hang in for one more day, OK?
With the sun in your sign, emotions have been heightened for you in the past few weeks. You're tearing up over songs you didn't even know you liked, you're invested in the Instagram relationships of people you hardly know, and everyone keeps asking if you're "okay." Of course you are. You're a Pisces so you're used to feelings, but other people don't quite get that. It's like having your period, but . . . always. But there are so many good things that are about to come from it all. You know what they say, without a crack or two, how is the light supposed to get in? Open up your blinds this week, you could use the sun, and it's finally here to stay.
