Snapchat actually ran a disgusting ad in which users can physically abuse Rihanna
The update isn’t the only thing that’s messed up
Just a few days after Snapchat was under fire for a racist n-word GIF that appeared on the app thanks to their partnership with Giphy, they're now featuring an ad for a third-party app that says, "Would you rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown?"
— Tay (@Tay_ole) March 11, 2018
And before I say anything else, a) that should not be legal, and b) punch Chris Brown.
Because social media advertisement have to go through an approval process before being posted on the platform, this means Snapchat signed off on an ad making light of domestic violence.
Is it just me, or is this ad that popped up on my Snapchat extremely tone deaf? Like what were they thinking with this? pic.twitter.com/7kP9RHcgNG

Chelsea Clinton even denounced the company and the ad on Twitter, saying, "Awful that anyone thinks this is funny. Awful that any company would approve this."
So if you didn't delete your account after that Tomi Lahren video on “snowflakes” was featured in their news section, you probably should now. Instagram and Snap have removed the Giphy feature from their stories, but will they remove this "Would You Rather?" game?
Apparently the new update isn't the only thing that’s fucked up over there.
