Chrissy Teigen just put the final nail in Snapchat’s coffin, losing them $100 million with a single tweet

This is almost as bad as Kylie

2018 was already the year of the L for Snapchat. But if Kapitalism Kween Kylie Jenner publicly denouncing the social media platform to her 25 million Twitter followers wasn't enough to put them under, Chrissy Teigen — actual prom queen of Twitter — may have just driven the final nail into their swiftly decaying digital coffin.

Following a disturbing ad Snapchat ran two weeks ago in which users could choose to physically abuse Rihanna, the 32-year-old model tweeted that she's dropping Snapchat — and their stock absolutely tanked.

The ad, hosted on the platform for a third-party app, said: "Would you rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown?"

First, Rihanna herself responded to the controversy and punished the app by costing them close to a billion dollars in value.

Then, Chrissy tweeted about it lost Snaptrash around $100M:

Kylie, who posted a similar tweet a few weeks earlier, took issue not with the app's content but its cool factor.

That tweet reportedly cost Snapchat $1.3 billion in market value in less that 24 hours, too.

If any Snapchat execs need a job, we know of a place that's hiring! No, not babe dot net. Chipotle!
