The Weeknd’s new song is about how he was going to give Selena Gomez his KIDNEY before she left him in the dust

Last night, the Weeknd finally dropped his long-awaited album My Dear Melancholy. And we already knew it was going to be wild because Travis Scott, who got a first listen, described the album as “scray.”

I thought it would be sad, I thought it would be kind of evil, I thought he would spend a lot of time talking about cocaine. But what I didn't expect was for him to admit falling for Selena was one of his biggest mistakes.

Look at these lyrics about him helping her out of a broken place

"We found each other/I helped you out of a broken place/You gave me comfort/But falling for you was my mistake"

He even referred to her kidney transplant

"I said I didn't feel nothing baby, but I lied/I almost cut a piece of myself for your life/Guess I was just another pit stop/Til you made up your mind/You just wasted my time/You're on top."

Abel! I didn't know you had the ability to feel so deeply!

According to Francia Raisa, Selena's best friend from childhood who ended up donating her own kidney to the pop star, she couldn’t move for two months after the surgery, –which means Abel was really ready for THAT kind of commitment.

So I guess . . . thank Selena. For making The Weeknd experience the kind of pain that gave birth to an album like this.

At least we finally know who broke up with who, am I right?
