Taylor Swift drops another video for Delicate, millions of Swifties found dead in ditch
Is it cool that I said all that?
At the stroke of midnight, Taylor Swift fans died in their millions as she dropped the second video for Delicate. Critics have praised the smash hit single, from her sixth album Reputation, for its "unimpeachable songcraft." Breaking apart the nuances of romance's early stages – "Is it cool that I said all that/Is it too soon to do this yet?" – Swift (Sagittarius) describes the opening chapter of her relationship with Prada beau Joe Alwyn (Pisces).
Delicate's first video came out earlier this March, which featured her dancing through Los Angeles, hounded by paparazzi and fans. But out of nowhere, Swift told fans this morning that an unprecedented second video would be released at midnight on Spotify.
When the video finally appeared online, after an hour of technical problems, it shocked fans with its vertical layout – making it look like it was filmed on an iPhone.
It's a four minute clip of her dancing in the woods wearing a sheepskin coat, smiling in the sun. But check out her key accessory – the Tiffany necklace that she plays with in the video, engraved with the letter J, referring to her boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
As we all know, in Reputation single Call It What You Want, Taylor sings: "I want to wear his initial / On a chain round my neck, chain round my neck / Not because he owns me / But 'cause he really knows me."
