Avicii is dead at age 28

The DJ was found dead at his home

Avicii, DJ and producer known for popular songs including Wake Me Up and Levels, is dead at age 28.

The musician, real name Tim Bergling, retired from performing in 2016 citing health issues, but his cause of death is still unknown.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” a statement from his rep reads. “He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”
