This sexy thirst trap Balenciaga just posted on Instagram is melting everyone’s brains

I’d watch this in a commercial

If there's one way a brand can reach today's youth, it's to sell hotness. We all want our authentic lives to be replicated in mainstream media. Fashion brand Balenciaga tapped into gal culture and did the most local thing for some likes—sharing a thirst trap to sell shoes.

A post shared by Balenciaga (@balenciaga) on May 2, 2018 at 5:50am PDT

The brand executed the classic "I'll just leave this here" post, leaving no caption or any kind of hints, but considering this spiked duck shoe is front and center in the photo, I'm assuming this is their latest design prototype.

As to be expected, fans commented in confusion. "I almost scrolled past thinking that this was a random photo taken by someone I knew," one fan said.

"Lol. I live for this. Cheap is the new quality," another fan wrote in the comments.

And some fans thought the account was hacked

As a former advertising major, I think this is genius, but as a consumer, I definitely wouldn't buy these clown shoes even if my rack of stilettos burned to the ground. However, I give it up to the brand for trying to get to know the kids of the culture.
