Who is Pete Davidson?Everything to know about Ariana Grande’s new boyfriend

She likes her dudes dorky, I guess

After fans pretty much lost it with Ariana Grande's speedy recovery from her breakup with Mac Miller and quick bounce-back with SNL star Pete Davidson, we had no choice but to delve deeper into the enigma sweeping Ariana off her feet. We know Pete is on Saturday Night Live, but what the hell else do we know about him?

Personally, I think he's doofy as fuck

Pete Davidson only 24 and from…Staten Island, NY. This is a fact of life that shook me to my core because I don't know anyone that young who's making moves in comedy (or repping the part of NYC we purposely don't talk about), let alone on a historic network show like SNL. But that's probably what puts him on Ari's level.

Before making waves on the comedy sketch show, he was seen all over MTV. He's appeared on Guy Code, Nick Cannon's Wild 'n Out, and Failosophy.

What's even more impressive than that, though, is he's allegedly 6'3" with a jawline made to cut glass.

Before his recurring appearance on SNL's "Weekend Update", Pete was doing stand-up comedy and even had the opportunity to roast Justin Beiber with one of the most memorable one-liners. "I lost my dad on 9/11, and I always regretted growing up without a dad—until I met your dad, Justin," he joked. "Now I'm glad mine's dead."

Despite being a comedian, a lot of his jokes come from a dark place

Davidson's father was actually a firefighter killed on 9/11, but uses humor as a coping mechanism. "Things that I feel really sad about, I talk about. That way, if it's funny, it doesn't hurt anymore," he told Interview magazine.

still trash

Pete also has myriad health issues he struggles with on a daily basis. He has Crohn's disease, battles substance abuse, lives with borderline personality disorder.

To cope with Crohn's, he smokes weed. In an interview with High Times, Pete said, "I have Chron's. It sucks, you know. Smoking weed allows me to do that. I feel like that makes a lot of sense." He even performs his stand-up while stoned because he says otherwise, he'd be too physically uncomfortable to be onstage.

Despite Pete's personal demons, it seems like he's tapped into a way to live his best life — and Ariana Grande definitely seems like part of the plan.
