Kim’s meeting with Trump worked. Alice Marie Johnson is being released from prison

Trump granted her clemency this afternoon

Though it was met with deafening criticism by everyone with a Twitter account, Kim Kardashian clearly knew what she was doing by meeting with President Trump. After a highly-publicized meeting at the White House last week, it's been announced that Trump is officially granting Alice Marie Johnson clemency. She's set to be released from Alabama's Aliceville Correctional Facility in coming days.

Alice first came to Kim's attention last year when the reality star leaned about her case via Twitter. In 1997, Alice was sentenced to life in prison without parole on charges of money laundering and drug conspiracy. It was the now-62-year-old grandmother's first offense.

Now if Kim can just get Kanye reformed….
