How does he even make it through the day???

So you're bored on a Tuesday night and you start a lovely chat about the weather with a passably nice fellow on Tinder when he suddenly hits you with the "what's your number, let's text" or even worse, "I wanna call you and hear your voice."

Uh oh…how do you tell him that you weren't actually into him?? And who the fuck calls in this day and age anyway? You could always just turn him down, but guys DO NOT take rejection well and you're not really in the mood to receive a slew of "fucking slut whore" and "you're fat and ugly anyway" messages.

Well, what's a girl supposed to do? Twitter user Hanna (@hannahhhhxoxo) and hero of straight women everywhere demonstrated a simple yet ingenious method of curving men without destroying their fragile egos. All you gotta do is convince him that you have the same exact phone number as him.

So straightforward, and yet SO devastating. This only works if the guy you're talking to is idiotic enough to believe that you somehow have the same exact phone number as him. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that this trick would work on 99 percent of the male population.

Let's take a closer look, shall we?

Poor, poor Patrick

After Patrick provides his phone number, Hannah responds, "Wait wtf thats my number." What happens next is golden — the dude literally starts texting himself.

Can we just pause and focus on that for a second? A random girl on Tinder tells him that she has the same phone number, and his first instinct is to TEXT HIMSELF. I can only imagine the hilarious one-sided conversation that subsequently ensued.

Hannah continues to utterly destroy this wretched being by texting him anyway. Patrick is fucking SHOOK when he realizes it's Hannah from Tinder. "You got a new number!" he exclaims joyfully, delighted that a girl would go out of her way to change her phone number just to talk to him.

Alas — his hopes and dreams were violently crushed. "Nah homie I was fucking with you," she says.
