Exclusive: Freshman girl paralyzed after falling out of fraternity window

‘Doctors are unsure if she would walk again’

A freshman broke her back after falling out of a Georgia Southern fraternity window, babe can report. The student was found by paramedics lying in the yard of Sigma Chi in the early hours of Friday morning. She was taken to the local hospital in Statesboro, but moved to a facility in Savannah because of her condition. Her current status is unknown.

"She landed feet first out of the window," a representative from Statesboro Police Department told babe. "She had a broken back, internal injuries and extensive injuries to her lower leg. Doctors are unsure if she would walk again."

There is no indication she was pushed. The incident is not under criminal investigation, suggesting it was an accident. Paramedics found her conscious among the bushes around Sigma Chi at 12:53 AM last Friday. The Statesboro Police spokesperson was unaware what was happening at the frat before the accident, but mentioned a 911 call was placed and that other students were there with the injured freshman. Unconfirmed posts online claim she was sitting on a window sill, and fell two stories onto the ground.

A spokesperson for Georgia Southern told babe: "We are aware that the Statesboro Police Department and emergency services responded to an incident that occurred on private property near our campus this past weekend. The University's Dean of Students office is in contact with those involved. We have no further information to provide at this time."
