Did ‘Jessie’s Girl’ by Rick Springfield predict the rise of incels?

It’s over for springfieldcels

The 1981 pop rock classic, Jessie's Girl, foresaw the rise of the horrid incel movement. The trend of violent internet creeps known as incels – the guys who think women owe them sex – was predicted by Rick Springfield, the ultimate beta incel cuck.

Think about it:

Jessie is a friend, yeah

I know he's been a good friend of mine

But lately something's changed that ain't hard to define

Jessie's got himself a girl and I want to make her mine

And she's watching him with those eyes

And she's loving him with that body, I just know it

Yeah 'n' he's holding her in his arms late, late at night

You know

I wish that I had Jessie's girl

I wish that I had Jessie's girl

Where can I find a woman like that

  • Rick Springfield is a total incel! His friend Jessie is a complete Chad who fucks. Jessie's girl is a Stacy, who Rick Springfield wants to get with, but he can't because he's an incel, thus he gets mad that Jessie is with her. QED.

Similar incel sentiments would be later documented by Wheatus' Teenage Dirtbag. See also: Scotty Doesn't Know as a cuck anthem.
