Everyone knows a Brett Kavanaugh, and we want to write about yours

We want to expose the entitled men who take advantage of women

I’m sure you’ve all seen the story about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and the sexual assault allegations against him. The details are kind of gory but basically, at a house party when he was 17 years old, Brett Kavanaugh allegedly tried to assault a woman. The accusation describes an attempt to pin someone down, a hand over her mouth, and callous laughing the entire time. The woman, Christine Ford, just came forward in the Washington Post to publicly stand as his accuser.

But he's not the only one who’s had this experience. We all know a Brett Kavanaugh — a rich, entitled jerk who believes his wealth and privilege protects him from any consequences. A guy who treats women like objects, with callous selfishness and a reckless disregard for their well-being. A guy who truly believes that he can do whatever he wants and get away with it, because he has a rich and powerful family and an arsenal of lawyers at his disposal.

For far too long, these men have not been held accountable for their actions. I’m reporting on stories about entitled and privileged men like Brett Kavanaugh, and I would love to talk to you about your experiences with these kinds of guys. We're looking to write about your encounters with the Brett Kavanaughs of the world, and try to shed some light on this fucked up pattern of privileged men taking advantage of women.

If you want to share your story with me: send me a message, email me at [email protected], or comment below. If you need anonymity, we can talk about the best way to do it.
