Taylor Swift’s personal army are destroying the congressional candidate she dissed

Marsha Blackburn, buy Reputation, available on iTunes

Since Taylor Swift (Reputation is available for purchase on iTunes) announced her support for the Democrats and trashed the Republican candidate for Senate in Tennessee, her personal army has mobilized. Swifties are coming for Marsha Blackburn, the far-right Congresswoman from Tennessee, who has taken a number of extreme positions on LGBT marriage (hates it), equal pay for women (opposed it) and evolution (doesn't think it's real), to name a few.

Go on Marsha Blackburn's social media and you'll see Taylor fans bombarding her with posts like this:

And on Twitter:

Taylor, whose album Reputation is the only album to sell two million copies in the US in three years (her tour has grossed over $100 million in North America alone) announced last night that she was voting Democrat in the upcoming midterms. She had never previously discussed political views, but came out swinging against Marsha Blackburn saying:

"I cannot support Marsha Blackburn. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me. She voted against equal pay for women. She voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry. These are not MY Tennessee values. I will be voting for Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives."
