‘Yoga Skin’ is the new skincare trend I want zero part of 馃槱馃挦

2019 is already awful

I…don’t love yoga people. There’s just something about Lululemon pants that changes a person. It’s not even them, it’s the idea of them. They remind me of Alex & Ani and bird tattoos (I have one too, this is a self-drag), and can’t help but envy the fact they wake up with the desire to touch their toes.

I was hoping the whole health food/workout craze would remain in 2018 and we’d be allowed to return to a world where vegan Earth girls weren’t stretching and encouraging me to EAT ORGANIC馃崗馃槆馃尶!!!! on Instagram, but this morning, as I was lying in my unwashed sheets, minding my own business, it happened: I stumbled into ‘Yoga Skin,’ 2019’s newest skincare trend.

The aim is to look as sweaty as humanly possible

My personal aim is to apply my makeup without gagging, but to each their own, I guess.

The Yogaskin Technique I created to make the skin look lit 馃挕from within. Healthy, glowing, hydrated, radiant, sheer and natural. Skin that looks like skin at its very best. 鉁达笌Step One – Cleanse and prep your skin as normal. Let your skincare absorb fully before adding the next step. 鉁达笌Step Two – Apply a small amount of primer (silicone free). 鉁达笌Step Three – 3-4 Pumps of your favourite foundation liquid. Preferably Sheer/Medium (water based). No full cover. 鉁达笌Step Four – One drop of your favourite skincare facial oil 鉁达笌Step Five – One drop of strobe cream or Liquid highlighter. Golden tones work best. 鉁达笌Step Six – For super shine One small drop of Glow drops (this step is optional ) 鉁达笌Step Seven – Massage into your skin using your hands; this does many things. It gets the circulation flowing, relaxes you, de-puffs, and makes the base sit better too. Build up in layers on top until you are happy with the coverage created. I would recommend allowing time between layers. 鉁达笌Step Eight – Add a small amount of liquid concealer only in the areas you wish more coverage like under eyes, spots or around the nose. Please do not overdo this step 鉁岎煆. You can lightly powder to set concealer. Add cream blush and cream bronzer if you wish. And you can set your face overall with powder too, use a small fluffy brush to do this or puff and keep the powder to a minimum and sheer. No baking please 馃槝 . If you wish to use setting spray make sure it鈥檚 alcohol free to give further hydration. I used.. @chanel.beauty – foundation @kiehlsuki -Facial oil @kevynaucoin -Highlighter liquid @revolutionpro – Glow drops @chanel.beauty – Cream bronzer @glossier – Cream blush Recommend powder – @maccosmeticsuk Blot powder. Recommend set spray @pixibeauty. If this all seems to complex don鈥檛 panic! just add a little facial oil into your base keep everything looking sheer as possible. If you have very oily skin and don鈥檛 like to look shiny this might not be the look for you. And it’s not even just one influencer who’s lost it

Occasionally you come across the rogue ‘influencer’ who is trying out some new freaky trend like ass pumpkins, but for the most part, these trends don’t spread.

But when it comes to ‘Yoga Skin’ they are ALL in on it.

The upper lip sweat! I simply cannot!

#yogaskin with some graphic liner for contrast. Thanks to @sarahillmakeup for the most amazing inspo always 鉂 For the liner I mixed a few blue pigments I had lying around with @maccosmeticsuk mixing medium to create a peacock blue liquid liner. To create the #yogaskin look, I mixed together @weledauk Skin food with @ctilburymakeup Hollywood flawless filter primer and @bobbibrown Skin Serum foundation and buffed into the skin using my fingers. To finish the skin I used @glossier stretch concealer for some extra coverage and the cloud paint cream blush in 'Storm. For some extra highlight I used @ctilburymakeup film star bronze and glow palette For the lips I used a @bobbibrownuk lipstick in 'Soft Rose' and blurred out the edges to contrast with the stark liner. #jennifermclachlanmua #studio22a #creativemakeup #winterlight #playtime #graphicliner #yogaskin #glowingfromwithin #mualife #scottishmakeupartist #makeupartistsofinstagram #mylookbook #maccosmetics #bobbibrown #weleda #glossier #charlottetilbury

I promise, if you all stop rubbing your yoga skin in my face, I will stop rubbing my unwashed skin in yours, and we can all move on with our sad lives.
