Alright, let’s all stop cyberbullying Pete Davidson

‘I’m upset I even have to say this’

Ariana Grande has had a rough year, but it looks like she’s finally back on track. I mean, it’s been 3 days and her music video for “thank u, next” has almost broken 100 million views. I’d say she’s doing pretty well for herself!

Pete, on the other hand…well, let’s just say he seems to be having a bit of a rougher time post-breakup. On Instagram today, he revealed that he’s been getting bullied online and in public for the past 9 months.

“I’m trying to understand how when something happens to a guy the whole entire world just trashes him without any facts or frame of reference,” he wrote. “Especially in today’s climate where everyone loves to be offended and upset it is truly mind boggling.”

Pete also opened up about his mental health, and his struggles with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and suicidal tendencies. “I just want you guys to know,” he wrote, “No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t. I’m upset I even have to say this.”

Many people wrote supportive comments and praised him for speaking up about mental health. “Your message is so important and we all stand with you,” someone wrote. “I also have BPD and struggle everyday. You are loved and we need you here.”

However, some also pointed out that Pete has said some pretty mean and offensive things himself. “Funny, considering u made a joke about the Manchester attack,” someone commented, referring to a joke he made about a terrorist attack at Ariana’s concert. “He can dish it but he can’t take it,” another Instagram user pointed out.

As for what Ariana thinks of all this? Well, Twitter user @thirlheaux tweeted today: “LEAVE PETE DAVIDSON ALONE !!”

At the time of this post, this tweet has received over 14,000 likes. And one of those likes came from Ariana Grande herself.

You heard it from the queen, folks! Time to move on.
