Hannah Baker is going to play a massive part in 13 Reasons Why season two
The showrunner opens up about what the season entails
In an interview with EW today, Brian Yorkey, 13 Reasons Why showrunner, opened up about what to expect in season two, and it’s definitely not what we thought.
He began by saying that from the moment season one ended, he already knew there was going to be a season two. A lot of the characters, he said, “are really just beginning the process of recovery.”
By this he means coming to terms with Hannah’s death, and finding ways to move forward.
“For every tape there’s another person who has a story,” he said. So perhaps we’re looking at more than just this one additional season.
When asked if Hannah will be in season two, he said “Oh absolutely.” “We’re going to see a lot of things we hadn’t even heard about yet,” he continued.
He confirmed that they would still be weaving past and present, and that there will still be a voiceover in every episode, but the voiceover will no longer be Hannah’s.
