Miley Cyrus’ new song is about leaving ex-girlfriend Stella Maxwell for Liam Hemsworth

Is it a love song or a diss track?

In August of 2015, it was reported pop-star Miley Cyrus was dating Victoria's Secret Angel Stella Maxwell.

At first, both downplayed the girlfriend title. "I'm very open about it; I'm pansexual, but I'm not in a relationship," Maxwell, 22 at the time, told Elle UK.

The two began dating while Cyrus was on a break with Liam Hemsworth, but it ended up budding into something more serious for both — with each of them all over one another's Instagrams, kissing around LA.

But by mid 2016, Cyrus announced on Ellen that she and Hemsworth were engaged again and everything went back to the way it was.

Until last night when she released her full album, Younger Now, and fans began speculating that her song "She's Not Him," is about leaving the model to get back with Hemsworth.

"You gave me things, you can’t buy back with money, you changed my life, you've been my world," she sings.

"There's no other girl that looks like ya, darling / Those eyes, that tongue, those teeth, that face, that body."

And it makes sense she would miss Stella. I mean Liam is fine, but he could have been any one of the guys who sat in front of me (blocking the view) in Biology 230 — she couldn't have.

And while she does add, "But you're not him," we can't help but wonder how Liam feels about the song.

Not all of us can be angels.
