‘Blood was pouring down my face’: A man cracked a bottle over this girl’s head after sexually assaulting her in a nightclub

Sophie Johansson, 19, was assaulted on Saturday at a nightclub by a man she says she's never met in her life.

Johansson said she'd never even seen him before, and that she suddenly felt his hands hands on her butt and between her legs while she was on the dance floor with her friends.

When she pushed him to get him to stop, she says he punched her straight in the face before breaking a glass bottle across it.

Johansson and her friends were dancing on a night out at Babel night club in Malmo, Sweden when the incident took place. She said she she felt someone pulling on her bag and turned around to see the strange man.

"I turned around and then I felt his hand on my bottom and between my legs," she said, adding that because she didn't want things to get out of hand, she and her friend pushed him off before trying to leave the club. That's when he attacked her, hitting her on the left side of the head with a bottle, and breaking it across her face.

She says she thought the liquid dripping all over her body was from his drink, before realizing it was her own blood, when her friend told her it was "pouring down" her face.

Johansson was taken to the hospital where she got stitches, and a police report was filed on aggravated assault. Police have since "shelved" the investigation due to a "lack of evidence" about who the man was.
