‘Stop using her death for propaganda’: Mollie Tibbetts’ family slams conservatives politicizing her murder

One day has barely passed since police confirmed Mollie Tibbetts, the missing college student from Iowa, had been murdered – and already right-wing ghouls have used this as a political opportunity. Hollow-eyed conservatives looking to score points against undocumented immigrant have spotted their chance – they claim the man charged with killing Mollie, Cristhian Rivera, was not a US citizen (although Rivera's lawyer confirmed he is in the country legally).

As Trump-supporting vultures try to drum up support against undocumented immigrants, the Tibbetts family have had to issue statements and quietly ask for people to stop using Mollie's death as useful example.

Mollie's aunt, Billie Jo Calderwood, posted this appeal:

"Please remember, Evil comes in EVERY color. Our family has been blessed to be surrounded by love, friendship and support throughout this entire ordeal by friends from all different nations and races. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you."

She was joined by a cousin of Mollie's named Sam Lucas, who told Candace Owens, a soulless creep working to get young people into Trump, to back off.

"Take her name out of your mouth," added a cousin of Mollie's named Sam Lucas. "I'm a member of mollie’s family and we are not so fucking small-minded that we generalize a whole population based on some bad individuals. Now stop being a fucking snake and using my cousin's death as political propaganda."

Imagine not only having to endure the pain of losing a loved one – but also having to fend off bloodsucking opportunists trying to capitalize on her death. Fuck those guys.
