Social Producer, New York

Babe is hiring a Social Producer to join our social and video team in its office in Brooklyn, New York. This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest growing women’s sites, and gain experience in a newsroom that has been described by The New York Times as “deeply irresponsible.”

You will be creating highly distinctive content for babe’s Instagram and Facebook pages, distributing our stories and videos on social, hosting and editing videos for our platforms, and fighting our haters in the comments.

The position is full time and will start in July 2018.

Responsibilities

Working alongside 15 other people in our office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, you will be responsible for:

• Creating distinctive content (memes, viral videos, supercuts etc) for babe’s Instagram and Facebook
• Hosting daily videos on babe‘s Instagram story
• Developing original ideas for growing babe’s Instagram

• Distributing babe’s stories on Facebook and Twitter
• Achieving growth across babe’s Instagram and Facebook pages
• Developing growth strategies when necessary to achieve success

A successful candidate will have:

• Experience in growing an Instagram account by thousands a month
• Knowledge of the recent trends across Instagram and Facebook
• Intermediate video editing skills (Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro)
• Be comfortable on camera

• A deep understanding of babe’s voice and humor
• Evidence of exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and solve problems

We may try promising candidates on internship trials if they don’t have much experience.

Other useful experience includes:

• Contacts who run successful Instagram and Facebook pages
• Experience swapping content with other publishers
• Basic photography experience on iPhone and/or DSLR cameras
