June 11: Production is suspended

Warner Brother’s announced production had been shut down for Bachelor in Paradise due to a complaint filed from a producer alleging misconduct. The show was set to air on Tuesday, August 8. Rumors flew that the suspension was due to contestants DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios.

June 12: Sources confirm the incident involved DeMario and Corinne

Multiple media outlets report production was halted after a producer complained DeMario Jackson engaged in drunken, nonconsensual sexual activity with Corinne Olympios.

June 13: Chris Harrison releases statement, details and texts emerge

Host, Chris Harrison, releases a statement to Good Morning America, confirming that production has been suspended. Harrison said an investigation is being conducted.

A Bachelor In Paradise crew member gives a graphic description of what occurred, claiming that Corinne and DeMario were told a storyline would involve the two of them hooking up. The source said Corinne seemed to “go limp and was sliding under the water.”

Text messages that appear to be between DeMario and a friend emerge, in which DeMario claims footage of the incident will prove his innocence.

June 14: Corinne and DeMario speak out

Corinne issued a statement via her publicist. Corinne admits to having little memory of the incident but claims she is a victim and will be “hiring an attorney to obtain justice.”

Hours later, DeMario issues a statement claiming his character has been assassinated and all claims are false. DeMario said he will be taking legal action as well.

June 15: DeMario has been fired

Inside Edition catches up with DeMario while he is staying at a relative’s house in Southern California. During the interview, DeMario claims he has been fired from his executive recruiter position due to the scandal. DeMario reiterates his desire for the tapes to be released.

“The only thing I want is for the truth to come out, and I feel like the truth will be able to come out through those videos,” DeMario said.

  • June 16: DeMario’s ex-girlfriend defends him and Jasmine Goode says Corinne forced herself on other contestants.

Alexis Thexton, DeMario’s ex-girlfriend, told People that these accusations are outside of DeMario’s character.

DeMario was sent home from this season of The Bachelorette when Alexis came on the show to inform Rachel Lindsay that she had been dating DeMario for about seven months when he ghosted her to come on the show.

“As much as I think he’s a really shit dude and he’s not a good person, he’s also not the type of person to ever do something like that and take advantage of somebody who was not conscious or in a state to give their consent,” Alexis tells People.

Bachelor In Paradise contestant Jasmine Goode told E! News Corinne “forced herself on three male cast members when they were unable to consent.”

Goode claims that after the incident everything was fine until producers tried to cut her off from drinking. Apparently, Corinne got upset and said, “Watch, watch what I’m gonna do.”

Corinne’s lawyer responds to Jasmine’s statement by saying “If nothing improper occurred on the set of Bachelor In Paradise, why was the production shut down within two days?”

June 18: A source reveals what Corinne remembers

A source told E! News that Corinne has not seen a tape of the events and was blacked out for the majority of the night.

The source claims Corinne’s last memory is taking a shot of tequila, and she has no memory of falling face first into the jacuzzi or being helped down the stairs.

Corinne will be taking legal action against the show’s production and not against DeMario, the source said.

June 20:  Filming will resume, DeMario is invited back to Paradise and Corinne’s lawyer says he will continue his own investigation

In a statement, Warner Brothers announces that the investigation into the alleged sexual assault between Corinne and DeMario is over, and that filming of Bachelor in Paradise will continue.

They concluded that the videotape of the event proved there was no sexual assault between the two contestants.

Corinne’s lawyer, Mary Singer, told The Cut he will continue his own investigation into the events that occurred in paradise.

“It needs to be made crystal clear that production of Bachelor in Paradise was shut down because of multiple complaints received from BIP producers and crew members on the set,” Singer said.

Sources have told US Weekly that DeMario has been invited back to Paradise after Warner Bros. concluded there was no evidence of misconduct.

Amanda Stanton, Raven Gates, Vinny Ventiera and Taylor Nolan will also be returning.

Former cast members claim producers have been scrambling to find contestants for the rest of the season.

It is unclear whether Corinne will return for the rest of the season.

June 22: Corinne and DeMario will not be returning to Paradise

Sources close to DeMario told TMZ DeMario will not be returning to Paradise, because he has suffered anxiety due to the scandal. Sources have also said Corinne was not invited back to Paradise, and will likely not appear on any “Bachelor” franchise show.
