‘Bachelor in Paradise’ will continue filming after investigation concludes there was ‘no sexual assault’

‘The tape does not support any charge of misconduct by a cast member’

The investigation into the alleged sexual assault between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson on Bachelor in Paradise is over, Warner Brothers announced.

They concluded that there was no sexual assault between the two contestants via a statement this morning.

“The safety, security and well-being of the cast and crew is our number one concern, and we suspended filming so that the allegations could be investigated immediately and thoroughly. Our internal investigation, conducted with the assistance of an outside law firm, has now been completed.”

They said the tape showed no signs of misconduct, but that they will not be releasing it for privacy reasons.

“Out of respect for the privacy interests of those involved, we do not intend to release the videotape of the incident. We can say, however, that the tape does not support any charge of misconduct by a cast member. Nor does the tape show, contrary to many press reports, that the safety of any cast member was ever in jeopardy.”

Filming is set to resume in Mexico and the show will air as planned this summer.

Production was halted on June 11 after one of the show’s producers filed a complaint alleging DeMario engaged in nonconsensual sexual activity with Corinne.

Rumors flew that DeMario engaged in oral sex with Corinne in the pool. And while both contestants were intoxicated, a crew member said Corinne seemed to “go limp and was sliding under water” and that she was too intoxicated to consent.

Both Corinne and Demario spoke out days after the rumors emerged. Corinne said she is a victim in this case and “hired an attorney to obtain justice” against the show’s producers for not interfering. DeMario then released a statement saying he will be taking legal action, and claimed the rumors were false.

DeMario insisted “the truth will be able to come out through the videos” of him and Corinne in the pool. His lawyers told him he was “in the clear” after they met with Warner Brothers on Monday to review the tapes, according to TMZ.
